Short videos
Most videos last less than 2 minutes. That is usually just enough vocabulary to digest in one learning session, without feeling overwhelmed.
Bilingual Subtitles
Depending on your level, turn on French subtitles, English subtitles or both at the same time. We do literal translations and display full sentences so you can compare.
Integrated Dictionary
Don't know a word? Click on it to see its dictionary translations and hear its pronunciation. Ilini is pretty clever: it recognizes slang and expressions.
Vocabulary
We take notes for you! Every word you click gets added to your vocabulary list. Go back to your list later to rehearse, and remember the videos and phrases they appeared in.

Une startup engagée pour le multilinguisme et l'échange culturel
ILINI est une startup créée en juin 2017 avec une idée simple : pour apprendre une langue efficacement, il faut pouvoir se plonger dans la culture du pays. Conçu pour faciliter cette immersion, notre outil a rapidement rencontré le succès auprès de milliers d'apprenants, d'enseignants et d'écoles. Depuis plus d'un an, nous voilà donc embarqués dans une aventure éducative passionnante.
En discutant avec nos utilisateurs et conscients des enjeux sociaux actuels, nous avons mesuré combien notre approche répondait à une véritable nécessité pour de nombreuses personnes, en particulier pour les nouveaux arrivants. Pour ces derniers, l'apprentissage du français et la découverte de la culture française constituent un seul et même défi. Après avoir lancé un partenariat au printemps 2018 avec l'organisation Techfugees, qui mobilise les entreprises technologiques en faveur des réfugiés, nous avons décidé d'ouvrir notre plateforme à toutes les associations et à leurs bénéficiaires. Un moyen pour nous de soutenir concrètement le travail des bénévoles sur le terrain et d'apporter une contribution au défi de l'accueil des réfugiés.
D'autres initiatives sont en préparation, sur la base des retours d'utilisateurs et des ateliers et activités auxquels nous participons. Parmi nos projets, la production d'une série de vidéos spécialement adaptées aux besoins des nouveaux arrivants qui débutent en français, que ces derniers pourront utiliser efficacement grâce à notre interface interactive.
